Heads-up Jazz 88.3 Happy Hour goers! Our monthly happy hour at the historic Lafayette Hotel takes place on the FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH from 5-7:30PM! So be sure to mark your calendars, grab your dancing shoes and plan to come out and groove to great live music TONIGHT with the ever so lively, Euphoria Brass Band! Also, please note: There's a $10 cover charge (cash only!) and you MUST be 21+ to attend!  Oh, and if you're worried about parking, don't fret--there's an overflow parking lot (FREE!) on the corner of Howard and Texas Streets. We'll see you TONIGHT(!) in the Mississippi Ballroom!

Robert Bush translates music into words as well as anyone in the business ever has. A recent health crisis fortunately broke in our favor. The local Jazz community is coming together to help with expenses and show support for one amongst us. The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 13th at Panama 66 in Balboa Park. Jazz Live TONIGHT at 8PM will feature percussionist Charlie Chavezand the Mexican regional trio, Perla Negra! This special night is part of City College's World Cultures Program and it is a must see (and hear) event. The band includes: Charlie Chavez- percussion/leader, Eugenio Arango- congas and bata, Andy Geib- trombone/flute, Eric Toralba- bass, Gabriel Sundy-tenor/flute, Special guest - Irving Flores- piano.
