Joy, Spring!
Warm weather’s back, flowers are in full bloom, and for the first time, we’re taking the entire season of Jazz Live outside. Do YOU have your tickets yet?

This season pays tribute to the iconic song stylists of the West Coast Sound, and there were few who did more than Gerry Mulligan to usher in the birth of the cool.
This season, we’re celebrating California Cool: The Signature Sound of West Coast Jazz, with a six-concert slate bringing you the music of Gerry Mulligan, Terry Gibbs, June Christy, Chet Baker, Hampton Hawes, and Art Pepper. It all starts Tuesday evening, April 8th, with a tribute to the original Gerry Mulligan Tentet led by celebrated So Cal saxophonist Doug Webb.

Saxophonist Doug Webb, joined by trumpeter Ron Stout, will lead an all-star band on April 8th at the Handlery Hotel, playing Gerry Mulligan’s original arrangements for tentet.
So join us for six unforgettable evenings of jazz, under the Southern California stars — just as the architects of the West Coast Sound intended.
Our season opener will be here before you know it — what do you think Freddie Hubbard meant when he wrote “Up Jumped Spring” ??
