Last week (Oct. 22), Dave Drexler's "Inside Art" was awarded “Best of Show” honors (Radio/Podcast category) at the 51st annual San Diego Press Club Excellence in Journalism Awards.
This is extraordinarily well deserved. Dave is THE consummate pro; every episode of "Inside Art" reflects this. If you're an artist of any medium, doing noteworthy work in San Diego, Dave will find you. His tastes are omnivorous in the best way, and "Inside Art" is comprehensive (and, at just 30 min., succinct) in the best way.
We, as his peers and colleagues, could not agree more enthusiastically with this recognition.
"There is no better feeling than to be recognized by one’s peers," Dave told colleagues last week. "And this puts quite an icing on the cake to my 50th year in broadcasting."
