Lynn went on to share more of the on-going impact of Al and him and all of us: "It's tough to believe we only get 1 lifetime & that our musical heroes are afflicted w/the same disappointing revelation.So-consequently it's equally hard to hear such sad news when they pass!. Honestly, we should return to the '70's vibe when all of us-(babyboomers & affected empaths)- were obsessed w/musically enlightened beings like Al Jarreau. He was a beacon of joy & deep commitment to revealing the best in our souls. Today's vibe has been splintered & deeply cast aside for our immature fascination w/all things digital & this curse is still robbing us of our ability to feel from our hearts & not just our heads! God Bless Al Jarreau for his brilliant career as a leader in bringing honest emotions to each of us-his voice remains one of the most iconic ever in modern music history!"
