Water for People San Diego Committee along with Avista and KSDS Jazz 88.3 are proud to present Jazz on Tap 2022, a fundraising event to benefit Water For People, a global nonprofit promoting the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services. The jazz festival will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter.

Journey into Jazz- Classics 4 Kids and Young Lions Conservatory

 Classics 4 Kids is presenting their award-winning music education programs for thousands of elementary students from throughout San Diego County to enjoy. “Journey Into Jazz” takes place on May 24-25, 2022, and will feature live music from the 17-member Classics Philharmonic Orchestra accompanied by six talented high school jazz artists from the Young Lions Jazz Conservatory. Performances take place for San Diego County elementary students at 9:45 AM and 11:30 AM on May 24th and 25th, 2022 at the Balboa Theatre in downtown San Diego. Tickets are available at classics4kids.org. All programs will be produced in a safe setting in accordance with Public Health regulations.

It’s Mardi Gras in May! The Gator By The Bay Festival returns this year (May 5-8th) at Spanish Landing Park (across from the airport). This spirited 4-day music & food festival features entertainment for the whole family! There will be 7 Stages with non-stop music! Zydeco, Blues, Cajun, Swing, Salsa, Country & Jazz. Bring your appetite as there will be delicious Creole & Cajun Food including 10,000 pounds of live crawfish straight from Louisiana! There will be cooking demos by Southern chefs and free dance lessons by some of the finest instructors in the country! Kids 17 and under admitted free. The New York Times says trumpet powerhouse and American best-selling artist Chris Botti dazzles with both “flickering intimacy and thundering grandiosity.” The La Jolla Music Society announces Chris Botti's return to San Diego on Friday, April 8th when he plays at the Balboa Theatre.
